Introduction

Music is a universal language.  All around the world, many people collaborate to learn, teach, and create music. People create music for religious purposes, recreational purposes and for expression to name a few. It is something that transcends all language and cultural barriers.  However, it is not limited to providing fellowship and pleasure; learning music is one of the most beneficial investments that anyone can make. Music education should be mandatory in schools because it increases cognitive progression, assists in development of fine motor skills, and advances social maturation.
